Finally home after what should have been a six-month stint. What a sweet blessing it was! Alei and I arrived back in the states the morning of September 3, after an 18-hour flight. That wasn’t the first time we tried to come home. We actually bought tickets for an August 12 departure. Alei and I packed our things, got to the airport and made it to the ticket counter. Aside from her visa, we didn’t know that Alei had to secure a certificate from the government for her exit and clearance for me since I am a foreigner. Yet another delay. We then had to rebook our tickets and get more documents. It was frustrating, but we believed that in the end God’s purpose would be revealed. So September 3 came and we got to the airport (again). After 18 hours of flying, we finally arrived in Boston! I let myself get excited because we were finally on American soil!!! It was a sweet moment. The Bible tells us to be thankful in all circumstances, and looking back on the days of testing we praise God for those moments, because God has revealed Himself to us in ways we could never have imagined.
Finally Home!!
